According to the Unified Calendar of all-Russian interregional, national and international sportive events of the Ministry of Sports of Russian Federation for the year 2015, from 20 to 23 November 2015 in Palace of Sports “Sodruzhestvo” in the city of Moscow, the international competitions in Eastern martial arts (sports discipline – KOBUDÔ) ,code sporting event at the Ministry of Sports ETUC number 4083, is going to be held.
It’s being already received the preliminary conformation of the athletes from 18 countries to participate in this international competition. The founders of the martial art discipline Kobudo from Japan have showed great interest in this event and expressed their wish to delegate its team of athletes to participate in the competition also considering the fact that the year 2014 was 
declared in the Russian Federation – ” The year of the Japanese-Russian exchanges in the field of martial arts”.
It should be noted, however, that it is going to be the first official international competition in the oriental martial art “KOBUDO”, which takes place in the territory of our country, included in a unified schedule of the Russia’s sportive events by the Ministry of Sport of Russian Federation.
The event conducted by All-Russian Kobudo Federation is going to be the demonstration and a highest proof of the growing capability of the Federation to organize and conduct the
competition of eastern martial art Kobudo of a very high rank in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The event has a very popular format of competition, so called -OPEN. In past years the guests of the championship were prominent Russian public and sport figures. The welcome messages to the participants were sent by famous Russian personalities like Irina Rodnina (Russian politician and figure skater, who is the only pair skater to win 10 successive World Championship and three successive Olympic gold medals), Alexandr Karelin (a Hero of the Russian Federation and a dominant Greco-Roman wrestler for the Soviet Union and Russia), Iosif Kobzon (famous Russian singer, known for his crooner style), L. Baqueira (famous Russian cardio surgeon), F. Emelianenko (Russian politician and retired Heavyweight mixed martial artist (MMA), sambist, and judoka), S. Zheleznjak (the Deputy of a Russian State Parlament (Duma)), N.Valuev (former Russian professional boxer, two-time WBA world heavyweight boxing champion, and the current record holder as the largest boxer ever to win a world title), M. Margelov (famous Russian politician) and others
We believe that the championships and international competitions in Eastern martial arts – “Kobudo” will be one of the most important sportive events of the year 2015, and that it will promote sport among children and youth.
